Actor and filmmaker M Sasikumar’s latest film Tourist Family, has been successful at the box office and critically. The comedy family drama, which also stars Simran among the many known faces, is directed by debutant Abishan Jeevinth.

In a recent success meet of Tourist Family, the cast and crew of the film participated and expressed how elated they are of the film’s results. When asked if Sasikumar will hike his fees after the film’s success, the Subramaniapuram director had an answer which involves a condition. Keep reading to know what it is.

Tourist Family is a 2025 Tamil comedy family drama starring Simran and Sasikumar in the lead roles. As per the latest reports, the film has collected over Rs 50 crore worldwide at the box office. The makers of Tourist Family held a success event for the film recently. At the event, Sasikumar addressed whether he will hike his remuneration for his upcoming films owing to the success of Tourist Family.

While it is a common norm in the industry to hike their fees after successful films, Sasikumar said, “My first condition is that salary will not be hiked. It will be the same and I guarantee it. It is because the budget of the film matters and as the fee is increased, the budget too will increase. Also, I should acknowledge my failure. After many years, I got such a massive victory. This film has collected Rs 2.5 crore on the first day, while some of my films have only collected that much for lifetime. Tourist Family has surpassed by highest grossers like Sundara Pandian and Kutti Pulli .”

JioHotstar has bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights of the film. It will be available on the platform by the end of May. Tourist Family is produced by Million Dollar Productions and also features Ramesh Thilak, Ilango Kumaravel, MS Bhaskar, Kamalesh Jegan, Mithun Jaishankar and others.
