Will Silajit play the sleuth in Dulal Dey’s film?

It has already been reported that journalist Dulal Dey is making a film. It was once reported that he temporarily stopped the project. But sources close to the Bengali film industry later informed that the project is going in full swing. The film will go on the floors soon. 

Dulal chose a detective story for his film. Vikram Chatterjee may play the sleuth. Some other people claimed that musician-actor Silajit Majumder has been chosen for the role. Rafiath Rashid Mithila is supposed to play an important role. Sayan Ghosh, who has acted in several series like Rest In Prem, will play a pivotal role.

No actor wanted to comment anything about the news. In an interview with Aajkal Dot In, the director said, “I have been hearing such news for many days. I can only say that I am trying to make a film, but nothing is yet confirmed.” He also denied the claim of Vikram acting in the film. 

According to the sources, the director chose Kolkata for the initial shoot. He can shoot outside the city if the screenplay demands so.

Vikram’s Shohorer Ushnotomo Dine did a good business. Solanki Roy plays opposite him in the film. The Vikram-Solanki duo is a popular pair with the audience for their hit serial on TV. The film deals with the younger generation’s romance and the tale of Kolkata. As a heroine, Mithila’s first film in India is Mayaa, directed by Rajorshee De. Based on Macbeth, she plays the Bengali version of Lady Macbeth in the film. Silajit’s performance in the film Niharika, directed by Indrasish Acharya, has been praised as well.
