Vijay Sethupathi, who is awaiting the release of his 50th film Maharaja, has dropped some exciting hints about the upcoming film. In a recent interview, the Jawan actor revealed that the teaser of the film is ready and will be released soon. The actor also revealed that the film is in its post-production stage and is expected to have a summer release.  

The actor went on to mention that although he cannot reveal much about the film, but he expressed his excitement over the project and promised a ‘never-seen-before’ thriller! These titbits from the actor have increased the buzz around the film among fans who have been eagerly awaiting the release of the film.

Directed by Nithilan Swaminathan of Kurangu Bommai fame, the upcoming film, which was tentatively titled VJS50, is touted to be a crime action thriller and is expected to be released soon this year.

Earlier, the makers of the film had unveiled a riveting poster of the actor where Vijay Sethupathi’s character is seen holding a weapon, with blood dripping, suggesting that his character could have committed a heinous murder. His character is seen giving a cold stare. He appears to be unfazed, exuding the vibes of remorseless killer. Fans were thrilled to see their favourite star in an intense avatar after Jawan.

Apart from Vijay Sethupathi, the crime action thriller also stars Anurag Kashyap, Mamta Mohandas, Ammu Abhirami and Natty in pivotal roles. The film is bankrolled by Sudhan Sundaram and Jagadish Palanisamy. B Ajaneesh Loknath has scored the music, while Dinesh Purushothaman has cranked the camera. Philomin Raj handled the editing, while Anal Arasu helmed the action choreography for the movie. V Selva Kumar heads art direction.

Meanwhile, the 96 actor, who has signed several projects, will be seen in Gandhi Talks that is being directed by Kishor Pandurang. He will also be seen in Vetrimaaran’s Viduthalai part 2, Mysskin directorial Train, Arumuga Kumar’s untitled project VJS 51 and a film under H Vinodh’s direction.
