Willem Dafoe joins the cast of Robert Eggers' Nosferatu

Academy Award nominee Willem Dafoe will be collaborating with Robert Eggers for the third time for the upcoming horror film Nosferatu. Dafoe has been a part of all of Eggers’ films except for The Witch. Their collaboration has spawned two classics such as The Lighthouse and The Northman which have been extremely well-received by critics and audiences alike. The film will be a reimagination of the iconic horror classic, Nosferatu. The film will follow the titular ancient Transylvanian vampire who gets obsessed with a teen and causes her immeasurable trauma and suffering.

Ayo Edebiri from The Bear is joining the cast of Marvel's Thunderbolts

Ayo Edebiri amazed the viewers with her performance in the Golden Globes-nominated show The Bear as the sous chef opposite Jeremy Allen White. She is now set to make her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut with the upcoming film Thunderbolts. She will be joining a stellar cast featuring Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, David Harbour, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Wyatt Russell, Hannah John-Kamen, and Harrison Ford. The film will hit the theatres in July 2024.

Jon Bernthal and Vera Farmiga among others join the cast of Ava DuVernay’s Caste

Ava DuVernay is rounding up stellar names for her upcoming adaptation of Caste: The Origins of Our Discontent. Niecy Nash-Betts, Jon Bernthal, Vera Farmiga, Nick Offerman, Jasmine Cephas Jones, and Connie Nielsen have recently joined the project, and the series will explore the unspoken caste system that exists in America through race, class, and religion.

Amy Ryan set to join George Clooney and Brad Pitt’s thriller Wolves

Hollywood legends George Clooney and Brad Pitt are set to reunite and will be leading the upcoming Apple TV+ thriller film Wolves. Academy Award-nominated actress Amy Ryan will be joining them in this Jon Watts directorial. Ryan made her breakthrough in Ben Affleck's 2007 crime thriller, Gone Baby Gone as a troubled mother. The makers have not revealed further details about the film except for the fact that Clooney and Pitt will be playing "lone-wolf fixers'' who are assigned the same job.

Michael Kelly is the new addition to Taylor Sheridan's Lioness

With names like Morgan Freeman, Nicole Kidman, and Zoe Saldaña already attached to it, Taylor Sheridan’s highly-anticipated show Lioness is going to be a star-studded affair. New reports claim House of Cards star Michael Kelly will be its newest addition. The show follows a young Marine who gets recruited to the Lioness Engagement Team, a CIA program to demolish a terrorist organization from the inside. Kelly will play a government official in the show with Freeman playing the U.S. Secretary of State and Kidman playing the CIA senior supervisor.

Phoebe Waller-Bridge is set to produce a new series with Prime Video

Best known for her show Fleabag, which won six Primetime Emmy Awards, Phoebe Waller-Bridge is set to produce a new dark comedy series. Based on Claudia Lux's demonic debut novel Sign Here, the series will explore the bureaucracy of Hell with a low-level employee of the bureaucratic Hell trying to get a big promotion. The series will be a part of her development deal with Amazon with Bridge serving as the executive producer.

Yami Gautam’s film Lost gets an OTT release date

Yami Gautam is making a comeback with the Aniruddha Roy Choudhury directorial film Lost. The movie received a standing ovation at the Chicago South Asian Film Festival 2022 and the 53rd International Film Festival of India. Gautam plays a bright young crime reporter searching for the truth behind the disappearance of a young theatre activist. The film is set to premiere on ZEE5 on 16th February.
