The highly awaited Stranger Things 4 is gearing up for release this month, and nerds all over are counting down the days to see what the Upside Down has in store for the Hawkins teens this season. The show has gained immense popularity among fans for a number of reasons, one of them being its stellar cast and performances. The prowess of the show’s actors is something their co-stars recognise too it seems. Winona Ryder, who plays Joyce Byers in the series, recently opened up about her young co-stars.

In conversation with E! News, the actress talked about how she was continuously ‘blown away’ by the young actors on the show, calling them ‘magic’. Talking about how she was their age in the period the show takes place, Ryder revealed that, during her younger days, she looked a lot like Millie Bobby Brown. In the new season, Brown sports brown hair cut in a fringe. Ryder remarked that she had dyed black hair when she was Brown’s age and there was ‘definitely a resemblance’ between the two.

Ryder was all praise for her co-star Sadie Sink, who stars as Max Mayfield. Comparing Sink to Academy Award nominated actress Liv Ullmann, Ryder added “She's(Sink) going to be like Meryl Streep."

Stranger Things 4 also stars Brett Gelman, Finn Wolfhard, Charlie Heaton, Noah Schnapp, Eduardo Franco, Caleb McLaughlin, Joe Keery, Maya Hawke, Natalia Dyer and Gaten Matarazzo, whom reprise their roles from past seasons of the show. The series was created by the Duffer Brothers.

Catch the first volume of Stranger Things 4 on Netflix on May 27. The second volume of the show’s fourth season will premiere on July 1.
