India won in the 41st over in a thrilling match between Australia and India at the 2023 World Cup. Despite a stressful beginning in which India lost three important wickets early in the game, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul put on a brilliant display to lead India to a thrilling victory. India won the match against Australia by six wickets. KL Rahul, who hit the game-winning six and reached a personal total of 97 runs, was named the player of the match.

While the whole country is celebrating the win the World Cup's successful start, KL Rahul's wife and actress Athiya Shetty posted a celebration of the win on her Instagram story. Taking to her Instagram stories, The Hero actress reposted a video showing Rahul hitting the winning six and added the words "Best guy ever" along with a red heart emoji.

Ayushmann Khurrana and Ritesh Deshmukh on India's win

Along with Athiya, KL Rahul was praised by Bollywood actors Ayushmann Khurrana and Riteish Deshmukh for playing admirably. While Ayushmann shared Rahul's picture from the field adding a flag and clapping hands emojis, Riteish shared his joy on Twitter, praising Virat Kohli and KL Rahul for their outstanding performances and lauding them as the masterminds of India's successful World Cup debut.

About the match (IND Vs AUS)

In today's match between India and Australia in Chennai, the Australian team set a goal of 199 by taking over the batting first. However, the Rohit Sharma-led team easily surpassed the total and won by 201 runs with six wickets remaining. Virat Kohli scored 85 runs, and KL Rahul finished the game with 97 runs.

The Indian cricket team faces its next test against Afghanistan on October 11.
