World of Senapathi: Rajendra Prasad is fantastic in this kickass glimpse of his OTT debut

A lot of actors in the Telugu industry, despite their capability to take on challenges and prove their versatility across various terrains, get stereotyped and bound by commercial diktats. All it takes is a leap of faith and conviction from the part of the director to project them in a different light and potentially create wonders. This is exactly what Prema Ishq Kaadhal, Commitmental director Pavan Sadineni has done with Rajendra Prasad for Senapathi, a web original film on aha that marks the OTT debut of the veteran. A riveting promo from the film, World of Senapathi, was launched today.

World of Senapathi takes off with a burra katha, where the film's story is intriguingly narrated with several mythological parallels. The background voice-over tells how Sri Krishna is believed to take different births in different avatars in the Kaliyuga. What if Krishna appears in two contrasting avatars, with the same intent and treads different paths? That's Senapathi for you. There are goons, guns, murders, crimes, money in the frames, where every character is on a quest to accomplish their goal.

The beauty of the promo lies in its slick editing, taking an alternative route from the obvious to introduce the ambience of the film to audiences. It's sharp, it's focused and it wins your curiosity - all that's expected from any promotional material. Rajendra Prasad in a mean avatar as Krishna Murthy looks superb and intense, while the likes of Gnaneswari Kandregula, Naresh Agastya, Harshavardhan and Rakendu Mouli impress with their screen presence. The finishing touch with Rajendra Prasad's dialogue about a pawn on a chessboard is the perfect icing on the cake. 

Keshav Deepak also plays an important role in the film. Sushmita Konidela, Vishnu Prasad have bankrolled this under Gold Box Entertainments. The web original is all set to premiere on aha on December 31.
