Suhas, who turned a lead actor with films like Colour Photo and Family Man, will be seen next in a quirky rom-com titled Writer Padmabhushan. Written and directed by Shanmuka Prashanth, the film is gearing up for a release on February 3. The film’s trailer was unveiled by actor, writer, director Adivi Sesh at AMB Cinemas, Hyderabad today.
The trailer showcases the travails of a young, struggling writer Padma Bhushan, who finds love and is on the cusp of marriage. His first novel is a disaster in the market. None of his books are sold at shops and critics, authors don’t have kind words to share about his writing skills either. However, his lady love, played by Tina Shilparaj, does her best to boost his morale. His middle-class parents - a self-sufficient father and a television-obsessed mother- are occupied in their own worlds.
However a key twist in the tale changes the world of Padmabhushan. His father is chased by the media; Padmabhushan starts hiding from people. His reputation goes for a toss and affects his equation with his girlfriend and her father. How does Padmabhushan resolve this conflict? Suhas and Tina’s unconventional pairing works well for Writer Padmabhushan and the trailer confirms the director’s knack with comedy and his ability to extract solid performances.
