Written & Directed by God: The Saiju Kurup-starrer gets a new release date
Written & Directed by God: The comedy drama, which stars Saiju Kurup and Sunny Wayne in lead roles, will now hit the big screen on June 6.

The makers of the upcoming Malayalam film, Written & Directed by God, confirmed the postponement of its release in theatres. The comedy drama will now hit the big screen on June 6.
Written & Directed by God's new release date
The film, which marks the directorial debut of Febi George Stonefield, was earlier slated to have a theatrical release on May 16. It is safe to assume, nevertheless, that the postponement is because of the ongoing success of Dileep's Prince and Family and Asif Ali's Sarkeet in theatres. Mohanlal's recent hit, Thudarum, is also still being shown on numerous screens across the state. A number of films, such as Narivetta and Detective Ujjwalan, have also been slated to release in theatres on May 23. Although there are currently no additional Malayalam films scheduled for release in June, there are rumours that some, including Sumathi Valavu and JSK, may do so.
Cast and crew of Written & Directed by God
Jomon John, Linto Devasia, and Roshan Mathew co-wrote the screenplay for the movie. Saiju Kurup, Sunny Wayne and Aparna Das are playing the lead roles in Written & Directed by God. The teaser suggests that Jijo, a filmmaker who doesn't believe in God, is the main character of the film. His wife seemed to despise him for his lousy films and atheist outlook. The main focus of the film is how an encounter with God permanently alters his life. Saiju's funny act is hinted at throughout the promo.
Sreelekshmi Santhosh, Jolly Chirayath, Vaisakh Vijayan, Abhishek Raveendran, Chembil Ashokan, Neena Kurup, Dinesh Prabhakar, Manikandan Pattambi, Balaji Sharma, Babu Jose and Austin Dan are featured in supporting roles. Saiju will present Written & Directed by God in cinemas, with music composed by Shaan Rahman.
While Sunny Wayne's latest film was Turkish Tharkkam, Saiju Kurup was seen playing a prominent role in Sony LIV's web series Jai Mahendran, Abhilasham and Daveed. Saiju has played comical roles in films such as Aadu, Tharangam, and Nunakuzhi.
