Srijit Mukherji’s futuristic love story which is garnished with a pinch of sci-fi elements was released on June 3. Though the film has failed to impress the box office report card, the love story is liked by several critics. The film will now make an entry to one of the OTT platforms for those who missed it in theatres.
The film delves into a college love story of Khilat (Anindya Sengupta) and Joyee (Shruti Das) and the unrequited love of Arnab for Joyee. Khilat and Joyee meet with an accident and as a result, he loses a portion of his memory. In fact, he forgets that memory of loving Joyee. Khilat opts for memory transplantation. Meanwhile, Arnab fails to fall out of love with Joyee. The melancholy film deals with rebuilding memory and falling out of it.
The film will start streaming on Hoichoi on July 15. Billed as the world premiere, the streaming platform took to social media to announce the news.
X=Prem introduces Anindya, Shruti and Madhumita Basak on the big screen. Despite its box office debacle, the performances of these bunch of youngsters were appreciated. Meanwhile, the use of black and white in filming has also been loved by the audience.
Srijit’s new web series Feludar Goyendagiri is also streaming on Hoichoi. Despite its mixed reviews, the series has become pretty popular. According to the streaming platform, the first season of Feludar Goyendagiri, which is based on Satyajit Ray’s Darjeeling Jawmjawmat, is currently the highest viewed series of all time on Hoichoi. Srijit’s Feluda series features Tota Roy Chowdhury as Feluda and Anirban Chakraborty as Jayatu.
