Yaaro, an edge-of-the-seat psychological thriller, which hit screens in 2022, has finally dropped on OTT. The film, directed by Sandeep Sai and stars Venkat Reddy in the lead is now streaming on Aha Tamil.
Yaaro, a psychological thriller
Aha Tamil dropped a sneak peek from the film on its social media handle. The streaming portal captioned it, "The uninvited guest comes to John's house Watch the suspenseful thriller on aha (sic)."
The plot revolves around John (Venkat Reddy), who lives alone in a posh villa in ECR. After his paternal uncle siphons off their property after cheating John's parents, his mother passes away and his father goes missing. John goes searching for his father, but in vain and eventually moves to this villa in Chennai.
All is well until one day he begins to feel a mysterious presence in his house. When John begins to feel that he is being followed by the person everywhere, he seeks the help of his friend, who brings in a cop. However, the cop develops suspicion on John and begins to explore his past when a number of secrets begin tumbling out.
Yaaro star cast and crew
The star cast comprises Venkat Reddy, Upasana RC, C M Bala and others. The film has music and background score by Jose Franklin, cinematography by KB Prabhu and editing by Anil Krish. While art direction is handled by Mohana Mahendran, choreography is by Raju Murugan. Venkat Reddy has also doubled as a producer for the film. The co-producers include K Vidyasagar, K Venku Reddy, K Gunasekar Reddy and Sakthee Murugan.
Reception to Yaaro
The film opened to mixed reviews by the critics and audiecne alike. While Yaaro was lauded for its interesting premise, the film received flak for its execution. However, the lead cast Venkat Reddy and Upasana won praise for their performances.
