Yaavarum Vallavare – Samuthirakani-starrer to release on THIS date

Actor-director Samuthirakani’s film Yaavarum Vallavare is gearing up for its New Year week release. The actor recently took to his official X account to announce that his upcoming film, directed by debutant NA Rajendra Chakravarthy, is all set to hit the big screens on December 29.   

The Appa-fame actor also shared the new poster of the upcoming thriller. The poster showcases Samuthirakani and Bigg Boss-fame actress Riythvika in intense avatars, promising a gritty and gripping crime thriller

Samuthirakani and Yogi Babu will be starring in Yaavarum Vallavare, which also features Riythvika, Arunthathi, Naan Kadavul Rajendran, Ilavarasu, Ramesh Thilak, Mayilsami, Bose Venkat, Devadarshini, Poster Nandakumar, and Cheran Raj.  

The technical crew of the film includes cinematographer Jai, editor G Rama Rao and music composer NR Raghunanthan. C Anand Joseph Raj has produced the film.  

Samuthirakani's character inspired by a real-life person

In an earlier interview, director Rajendra had revealed that some real-life events had inspired him to make this film. He said that it is a story that spans over the course of 12 hours, from 6 pm to 6 am. “The crux of the movie propagates the idea that when a predicament arises, we need not await the arrival of a sole saviour. Instead, common people who rise to the occasion are heroes themselves,” he added. 

 “The real-life person who inspired Samuthirakani's character bears a strong resemblance to the actor, and hence, I felt it was the right casting,” the director explained. He also pointed out that Yogi Babu plays a comic character but that they did not design a separate comedy track. 

About Yaavarum Vallavare

The plot revolves around a murderer who is released from jail after five years of imprisonment. A gang of dreaded goons, who have been waiting to take revenge on him, leaves no stone unturned in setting up a trap to catch him.  

Samuthirakani’s upcoming projects

The actor-director, who was last seen in Thunivu, will be next seen in Indian 2 and Gamechanger, both of which are helmed by director Shankar.
