After wrapping up her portions for her upcoming Bollywood film Dasvi, actress Yami Gautam is now back in her hometown in Chandigarh to spend time with her family.

The actress plays the role of an IPS officer in the movie, which has Abhishek Bachchan in the lead and is directed by debutant Tushar Jalota.

The movie also features Nimrat Kaur and Manu Rishi Chaddha in pivotal roles. The makers had unveiled the character posters of the artistes before the shoot.

Apart from Dasvi, Yami has also been working on A Thursday, Bhoot Police and Lapata. She has been busy shooting for the past seven months, leaving her no time to visit her family back in Chandigarh despite the alarming COVID-19 situation in India.

The film is produced by Jio Studios and is likely to release on Jio Cinema.

A source close to Yami said, “She is really excited to have found a space in between her schedule to make a trip home and is enjoying her time with family.”

A Thursday, which is directed by Behzad Khambata, also has Neha Dhupia and Dimple Kapadia in lead roles.

Meanwhile, Bhoot Police, which was initially announced with Saif Ali Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Ali Fazal in the lead role, had a change of cast. A few months ago, the makers decided to rope in Yami, Arjun Kapoor and Jacqueline Fernandez along with Saif.

Not many details about her upcoming film Lapata have been revealed, except that it is helmed by Pink filmmaker Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury.
