Yash 19: KGF 3 star's next is with Malayalam director & actress Geetu Mohandas?

All eyes were fixed on Rocking Star Yash's social media handles on April 14 as the all-important update concerning Yash 19 was in the offing. The 37-year-old actor has been quite reclusive in the past few months and during this course, he has been speculatively associated with a number of projects. 

Yash, in all likelihood, is set to work with KVN Productions in the near future but isn't clear whether the latter is going to produce a film of his or collaborate with him on a long-term production venture.

However, Yash is yet to clear the air regarding his next (Yash 19) which, at this point, is nothing less than a national issue. One expected the actor to come forward and either make an emphatic announcement or provide his fans with a much-needed update but that wasn't to be. And yet, all hope is not lost because as per the updates, Yash has been busy cooking up a massive surprise for everyone - and no small surprise by any means!

According to Pinkvilla's latest report, Yash has been in talks with Malayalam director & actress Geetu Mohandas for what could be termed an 'offbeat' project. The Rocking Star, according to the same report, was floored by the idea/story that Geetu Mohandas shared with him and the two, in fact, have been mulling over the prospects for close to a year! Indeed, should things fall in place eventually (fingers crossed), Yash would certainly catch everyone off-guard with an impressive 'unconventional' choice. 

Pinkvilla's source adds that the K.G.F: Chapter 2 and KGF 3 star and Geetu Mohandas are looking to finalize things in the next 15 days and an announcement could come our way within a month. Whether the film in question would be shot in Kannada or as a Kannada - Malayalam bilingual isn't clear yet.

Geethu Mohandas, who is married to ace cinematographer and filmmaker Rajeev Ravi (Annayum Rasoolam, Thuramukham), is known for her directorial projects such as Liar's Dice and Moothon, both being highly regarded projects in the international film festival circuit.

Well, one now wonders whether this is the project that Yash referred to as something he is "passionate about". Back in January 2023, he took to social media to share a valid update with his fans and urge each of them to give him more time to put things in order. "When I meet you next, I want to share the news and all the details with you," wrote Yash in the note to his fans who, since then, have ardently waited for a formal word from the superstar's end. Well, here's hoping that Yash indeed surprises us all!
