This morning, April 20, Pamela Chopra, the wife of Yash Chopra, passed away. She was 85 years old. Pamela Chopra was a known Indian playback singer. She was also an independent screenwriter and producer. She spent the previous 15 days inpatient at the Lilavati hospital in Mumbai, according the reports. The doctors put her on a ventilator, but her condition continued to worsen. 

Pamela Chopra's last appearance was in the YRF film The Romantics, when she discussed her marriage to Yash Chopra and his journey. The Romantics also highlighted Pamela's contributions to the Hindi cinema business in addition to those made by Yash Chopra. Before the release of his debut movie as a producer, Daag (1973), the filmmaker spent many sleepless nights, as Pamela recalled on the show. Yash frequently sought out his wife in order to comprehend how a woman's viewpoint functions.

In 1970, Pamela wed Yash Chopra in a traditional ceremony. It was an arranged marriage. Aditya and Uday Chopra are their two sons. Aditya is a film producer and director. He is married to Rani Mukerji. Uday is an actor and film producer.

From Kabhie Kabhie (1976) to Mujhse Dosti Karoge! (2002), Pamela Chopra has performed various film songs, all of them have been for her husband's films. She worked in the independent production of the 1993 movie Aaina. Along with her husband Yash Chopra, her son Aditya Chopra, and seasoned author Tanuja Chandra, Pamela also contributed to the writing of the 1997 film Dil To Pagal Hai. She has also made a single appearance on screen. She and her spouse first shared the screen in the film Dil To Pagal Hai's opening song, Ek Duje Ke Vaaste.
