Yash fans playfully taunt Sudeep fans, as Hombale Films unveils KGF: Chapter 2 standees

Two of the biggest Kannada films (with pan-India releases) set to come out this year, are, no doubt, KGF: Chapter 2 and Vikrant Rona. Rocking Star Yash’s sequel to his very successful KGF: Chapter 1 has been earmarked for an April 14 pan-India release, while Sudeep’s 3D fantasy-action-drama Vikrant Rona has been postponed twice already and does not have a firm date yet.

While KGF makers Hombale Films have been miserly with information about the film so far, with very few updates, last evening, they revealed an image of the standees that are headed out to theatres worldwide. The team had earlier asked fans not to fall for fake information on updates and that will reveal all that can be in due course of time. Once the image of the standees came, some fans decided to take a dig at Kiccha Sudeep fans, given that there’s been no update about his Vikrant Rona either for quite a while. Some said that the Vikrant Rona team ought to take a leaf out of the KGF makers’ book, to which Sudeep fans retorted that they’d beaten KGF in this round, referring to the Vikrant Rona standee at PVR multiplexes in Mumbai, which is part of a contest for audiences to be a part oof the trailer launch.

All said and done, there is no denying that both sets of fans have been eagerly awaiting a teaser/trailer launch for both KGF: Chapter 2 and Vikrant Rona, and there’s been no word on that. As of today, on director Anup Bhandari’s birthday, Sudeep revealed a promotion tour map, on which a teaser is first up. However, there was no date mentioned as to when fans can expect it. With the KGF sequel just over a month away from its release, a trailer should be imminent.
