Yash: KGF’s Rocky Bhai has a strong conviction that he can achieve anything; I relate to that attitude

Nearly three-and-a-half-years after the release of KGF: Chapter 1, the second part of the KGF saga, KGF: Chapter 2 is set for release on April 14. Produced by Hombale Films and directed by Prashant Neel, the film, is releasing in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi and has Sanjay Dutt and Raveena Tandon joining its massive cast.

The team of KGF kickstarted promotions with the trailer launch in Bengaluru, after which they have begun touring the country, starting with Delhi. During the media interaction in the national capital, Yash was asked if he could relate to his character Rocky Bhai. In response, he said, “Rocky Bhai is self-made, believes in himself, faced a lot of struggles in childhood, has a vision and goes for it; I can relate to those qualities, because most of have that attitude, but in a different profession. Rocky has a certain profession, and I am in a different one. But you can put that positive attitude, the strong conviction into any area and believe that you can achieve anything. And that’s what I feel too.”

As for similarities between Rocky Bhai and Yash, the actor said, “There is a very thin line between confidence and arrogance. I believe in confidence. There is a perception that there is a similarity between Rocky’s growth and mine as an actor. I come from a small town, moved to Bengaluru, did random jobs for a while, before getting into TV and then cinema. All of us have to go through certain difficulties in life. If you are enjoying a certain level of success, it is never easy.”

One question on everyone’s mind was what project the actor will do next, #Yash19 has evoked a lot of interest, considering he was rumoured to do a film with Mufti maker Narthan next. While Yash did not get into the details of his next, he did admit though that he and his team are working on a script.
