Kannada movie star Yash termed his meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a "wonderful experience." On Sunday evening, the PM hosted several high-achieving individuals from Karnataka at the Raj Bhavan in Bengaluru. Besides Yash, the high-profile guest list also included Rishab Shetty of Kantara fame, producers Vijay Kirgandur, and Ashwini Puneeth, and cricketers Anil Kumble, Javagal Srinath and Venkatesh Prasad.

Modi arrived in Bengaluru to preside over the five-day aerial show, Aero India 2023.

Yash revealed that he requested support from the government to improve the Kannada film industry. "We discussed what are our expectations from the government. What can we do as an industry for the country? He also said whatever we need we will get from the government. I was impressed with the kind of knowledge he has about the film industry and the possibilities of what we could do. He called it a soft power. And he has a big vision for the industry. It was a wonderful experience," Yash said.

According to media reports, Yash requested the government's help in building a film city in Karnataka. The Kannada film industry has been lobbying to set up a film city similar to the ones in Chennai and Hyderabad for a long time now. Yash has made similar requests to the government in the past too.

On the career front, Yash is working on his next project in great secrecy. Following the massive success of KGF: Chapter 2, the star has kept everyone guessing about his next movie. He's said to be in the process of putting together his next film on a massive scale. He's expected to announce the project soon.

Rishab also shared his experience after meeting the PM. "Inspiring meeting PM @narendramodi ಅವರು as we discussed role of Entertainment industry in shaping New India and Progressive Karnataka. Proud to contribute towards #BuildingABetterIndia 🇮🇳 Your visionary leadership inspires us & your encouragement means the world to us @PMOIndia," he tweeted.

Rishab is now working on the follow-up film to Kantara.
