Yash to go ‘grey’ for action-packed film with Geetu Mohandas; to be 2025 release

In all the time since KGF: Chapter 2 came out, Rocking Star Yash has always maintained that he’s not been sitting around idle and that work on his next has been going on steadily. While Yash has been tight-lipped about his collaborators for the film, except production house KVN Productions, the genre he is tapping into, etc., according to the latest reports, the team has locked not only the script and crew, but the entire cast as well. Location recces have also been done and they are all set to go on floors.

But that’s not all, according to a Pinkvilla report, the film is an action thriller in which Yash’s character will have shades of grey. The actor will apparently have 3 leading ladies with him in pivotal roles, while the film will have never-before-seen action blocks. It was earlier reported that Yash’s meetings with Hollywood action director JJ Perry were for a collaboration on his next. But here’s the thing, Malayalam filmmaker Geetu Mohandas, who is rumoured to be directing the flick, also follows Sam Hargrave (Extraction), and if he’s also involved in the project, there’s no doubt that the stunts will be outstanding.

Ever since Geetu’s name has been attached to the project, netizens have been keeping a keen eye on her social media connections. Geetu follows only 219 people on Instagram, including Yash, of course, and every new connection led to a speculation that said person could be a part of her new film. Samyukta Menon was rumoured to be on board, as also Tovino Thomas. Music director Charan Raj, who is said to have been roped in is not on her list of connections, though.

The most exciting bit about the latest report on Yash19, though, is that with all pre-production concluded, the team is ready to begin shooting, and is, apparently, aiming to ensure that the film is ready for a 2025 release.
