Yasha Shivakumar joins the cast of Dhananjaya - Rachita Ram starrer 'Monsoon Raaga'

Monsoon Raaga is all for a theatrical release and the makers are currently busy with the last leg of the shoot. The film stars Dhananjaya and Rachita Ram in the lead roles and now, young actor Yasha Shivakumar joins the cast of the film to make things more exciting. Yasha, reportedly, will join the last schedule of the shoot, and the team plans on unveiling her character's look shortly - nevertheless, the actress made the announcement through a social media post wherein she can be seen on the sets of Monsoon Raaga.

S. Ravindranath, known for directing the Ramesh Aravind starrer Pushpaka Vimana, is at the helm of things for Monsoon Raaga- this would be his second film with Rachita Ram who played Ramesh Aravind's daughter in the 2017 film. The teaser of Monsoon Raaga was released digitally a few weeks ago and fans have grown particularly interested in Dhananjaya's on-screen chemistry with Rachita Ram. 

J. Anoop Seelin's score too will be a major part of the film. In a recent interview, the music composer shared that both elements of rain and music are crucial to the film and S. Ravindranath's screenplay allows for the music to blend in seamlessly. The film's retro setting, he adds, has allowed for the score to have a classical touch and that the entire team is excited to share the work with the world.

Yasha Shivakumar, on the other hand, has been in the reckoning among all the major filmmakers even before the release of her debut. She has her debut film Hariprasad Jayanna's Padavi Poorva alongside Pruthvi Shamanur and Anjali Anish, and will also be seen in films like Raj Sounds and Lights, Dantakathe (with Vasistha Simha), and the upcoming multistarrer Bairagee that stars Shiva Rajkumar, Dhananjaya (second collaboration), Anjali, and Pruthvi Ambaar.
