Yashoda release date: When and where to watch Samantha, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Unni Mukundan's multilingual thriller

Samantha will finally be having a series of theatrical releases in Telugu after a gap of nearly two years (excepting her appearance in Pushpa: The Rise), Shaakuntalam and Yashoda. Of them, Yashoda now has a release date too. For the uninitiated, Yashoda is a new-age thriller jointly directed by Hari and Harish and bankrolled by Sivalenka Krishna Prasad under Sridevi Movies. The film, apart from Samantha, features Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Unni Mukundan in pivotal roles. Yashoda will hit theatres across four languages - Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi - on August 12.

While announcing the release date, the producer Sivalenka Krishna Prasad states that Samantha hasn't only excelled as a performer in Yashoda but also has packed a punch with the action sequences in the film. He said that the film would release in all the four languages on the same day i.e. August 12. The shoot of Yashoda is expected to be wrapped by the last week of May. The makers are confident about drawing audiences to Yashoda across the country with its universal plot. After finishing a major schedule on a lavish set sometime ago, Yashoda team is currently Kodaikanal bound for another schedule.

Yashoda also marks the directorial debut of the duo Hari-Harish. Rao Ramesh, Murali Sharma, Sampath Raj, Shatru, Madhurima, Kalpika Ganesh, Divya Sripada, Priyanka Sharma and others play important roles in the action thriller too. Pulagam Chinnarayana and Challa Bhagyalaxmi pen the dialogues for the Telugu version. Mynaa Sukumar is cranking the camera for the film which has music by ace composer Mani Sharma. While Ashok handles the art direction team, Venkat choreographs the action sequences. Yashoda will be edited by renowned technician Marthand K Venkatesh.

C/O Kaadhal filmmaker Hemambar Jasthi is the creative producer of Yashoda. Chinta Gopalakrishna Reddy is the co-producer of the film while Vidya Sivalenka is the line producer. Chandrabose and Ramajogiah Sastry are on board as lyricists for the Telugu version.
