Samantha is one of the biggest names in South India today and has been in a role since last year. The makers of her next, titled Yashoda, have announced the film’s release date.
Sridevi Movies, who are backing the movie, took to social media to share the news with the fans. Along with announcing Yashoda’s August 12 release date, the production house promised that the film will give the audience “thrills and chills”.
A poster was also shared as part of the post, and it confirms that the movie will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam.

Directed by Hari Shankar and Harish Narayan, who are making their debut. Yashoda is produced by Sivalenka Krishna Prasad under the banner of Sridevi Movies.
It was understood that Hollywood stunt choreographer Yannick Ben has worked behind the action scenes in the movie. Co-director Hari had earlier said that Samantha’s action sequences from the movie will be in a raw format.
Apart from Samantha and Unni Mukundan, the movie also stars Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Rao Ramesh, Murali Sharma, Sampath Raj, Kalpika, Divya, Priyanka Sharma, Madhurima and Shatru among others.
While M Sukumar is the cinematographer for the project, the music for Yashoda is composed by ace music director Mani Sharma.
Samantha, who proved she is a good choice for an action avatar in the second season of The Family Man, was last seen in a special appearance in the song Oo Antava from Pushpa: The Rise.
The actor is also awaiting the release of Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal, directed by Vignesh Shivan and co-starring Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara. The movie is set to release on April 28.
