Samantha Ruth Prabhu, today, dropped a picture of her undergoing medical treatment in a hospital room. The actress is seen getting intravenous therapy while watching television. Attached with the picture was a note that has left her fans worried. In the note, the Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal actress revealed that she was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition called Myositis, which causes inflammation in the muscles. The condition causes muscles to go weak and leads to pain.

The note read, "A few months back I was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition called Myositis. I was hoping to share this after it had gone into remission. But it is taking a little longer than I hoped. I am slowly realising that we don't always need to put up a strong front. Accepting this vulnerablility is something that I am still struggling with. The doctors are confident that I will make a complete recovery very soon. I have had good days and bad days.... physically and emotionally.... and even when it feels like I can't handle one more day of this, somehow that moment passes. I guess it can only mean that I am one more day closer to recovery, (sic)."

Samantha had been avoiding public appearances in the last few months and speculations were rife that she was suffering from Polymorphous Light Eruption, a condition that causes sensitivity to light. Her team had slammed the same as rumours. Meanwhile, wishes are pouring in for the actress for a speedy recovery from all quarters.

In her latest note, Samantha has also thanked the audience for the response to Yashoda trailer.

She wrote, "Your response to the Yashodha Trailer was overwhelming. It is this love and connection that I share with all of you, that gives me the strength to deal with the seemingly unending challenges what life throws at me (sic)."
