In only 20 days, Challenging Star Darshan’s second film of the year, Kaatera, will hit theatres. After the success of the first song, Pasandaagavne, the team is now set to bring the next single to audiences. This time around it is a love song called Yava Janumada Gelathi, which will be released on December 11 at 12.30 pm. Taking to social media to announce the same, Darshan wrote, “It’s time to entertain you with the second beautiful song of the movie! A soothing number that you will instantly fall in love with. The actor also shared a poster of the same, indicating that it was a romantic number featuring him and Aradhanaa Ram.

Kaatera is Darshan’s second film with Tharun Kishore Sudhir, after their earlier collaboration Roberrt. The film is a period subject about an agrarian issue, based on a real-life incident. It has music by V Harikrishna and cinematography by Sudhakar. The film is set to close out the year on December 29, making Darshan the Kannada star who opened it with a Republic Day release, Kranti, which took on Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan at the box office. Kranti did not create waves at the box office, so there is a lot riding on Kaatera. While there’s no news of a clash on December 29, the film comes only a week after three biggies release – Prabhas’ Salaar, Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki and Aquaman 2.

Fans have been eager to get more of a glimpse of the film and what’s in store with the trailer, but that, we hear, will come out closer to the film’s theatrical outing. The team is apparently planning an on-ground event in Mandya for the trailer launch on December 23. Interestingly, December 23 is also the day when Kiccha Sudeep kicks off the latest edition of the Kannada Chalanachitra Cup with three full days of scintillating cricket.
