The turning of the tide toward South Indian cinema has been discussed a lot over the past year or two with 2022, in particular, enunciating this more than ever. Actors and Filmmakers from the Hindi Film Industry, especially, have shown a lot of keenness to collaborate with south Indian talent and one can see borders being gradually blurred out with the biggest of names like Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar, and others opting to explore outside their confines.

Rishab Shetty, in this regard, has been a most sought-after name after the success of Kantara. The actor-director recently appeared on a year-ender roundtable discussion wherein he shared the platform with stars like Dulquer Salman, Varun Dhawan, Vidya Balan, Janhvi Kapoor, and others. Rishab Shetty's superb performance in Kantara would be brought up multiple times during the conversation with both Janhvi and Vidya Balan urging him to cast them in his next and Anil Kapoor, the most senior of the panel, asserting that Rishab's next should be with him.

But it was Ayushmann Khurrana who charmed Rishab the most and the reason is the An Action Hero actor's fluency in Kannada! Yes, Ayushmann couldn't resist and whipped out a few words in Kannada which not only impressed Rishab Shetty but also made him declare that the Bollywood actor boasts every chance of acting in a Kannada film.

"Olle scream," (Nice scream) said Ayushmann while referring to Rishab's iconic scream in the climax portions of Kantara. "Yeh Kannada picture karega," said Rishab in response to evoke laughter from the entire panel and then to make things all the more delightful, Ayushmann adds: "Naanu ninna ishta padthini", which translates to 'I like you' in Kannada.
