Yogaraj Bhat's 'Gaalipata 2' to hit the big screens on May 27?

]The past few weeks have been nothing but special for all the Kannada cinema patrons and it would seem that the celebrations will last much longer. On the back of the stellar success of K.G.F: Chapter 2, an entire slew of exciting Kannada releases is gearing up for a bonafide theatrical release. One among them is the much-awaited ensemble film 'Gaalipata 2' which, according to the latest reports, will release in cinema halls on the 27th of May.

While there has been no official confirmation regarding the same, many online entities have claimed that the film is likely to hit the big screens either on May 27th or latest by June 3rd. The month of June has another big Kannada release in the form of '777 Charlie' (June 10) in store and the makers of 'Gaalipata 2' would want to steer clear of the pan-Indian release. At the same time, Gaalipata 2 stands tall on its own as one of the most anticipated releases of this year. 

With the motley crew of Yogaraj Bhat, Golden Star Ganesh, Diganth Manchale, and Pawan Kumar reuniting after a long gap, fans have been super keen to watch the film on the big screens. Veteran actors Anant Nag and Rangayana Raghu too play key roles in the film with Sharmiela Mandre, Vaibhavi Shandilya, and Samyuktha Menon playing the female leads - Nishvika Naidu will be seen in a special cameo appearance. The team flew to Kazakhstan in 2021 to shoot a crucial portion of the film.

Arjun Janya's soundtrack is likely to be another highlight of the film. V. Harikrishna's score for the 2008 film, 'Gaalipata', still remains one of the most loved soundtracks so the expectations are quite high among the fans. The team recently released the first single, titled Exam Song, and Sonu Nigam too will feature in the soundtrack.
