You Are My Love from Jeet’s Raavan is a stylish dance number, says choreographer Imran Sardhariya

Imran Sardhariya, who is a very popular choreographer in Kannada film circles, is mighty thrilled about his Bengali cinema debut, Raavan. The film, which has Bengali superstar Jeet in the lead, is set for an April 29 theatrical release, in the run-up to which the team has begun releasing a few songs. “I was introduced to Jeet about six years ago, when I was shooting with Upendra at the same location as Jeet was for his film. Upendra and Jeet knew each other through the former’s wife, Priyanka. Since then, Jeet and I have been planning to collaborate, but it is only now that things fell in place,” says Imran.

A couple of weeks ago, the team released the first song from the film, a romantic number called Keu Jaane Naa, which they are now following up with the dance number You Are My Love. “This is a stylishly shot dance number featuring Jeet and Lahoma Bhattacharya, which we shot in Thailand. I have choreographed three songs in Raavan, all of which were canned in Thailand, at paid-for locations to ensure exclusivity. Although I am quite popular for hardcore dance numbers in Kannada, I have done a fair share of simple romantic numbers too, and my work in Raavan will reflect a mix of that. All the songs have been done keeping Jeet’s image in mind,” adds Imran.

You Are My Love is being released tomorrow on the auspicious occasion of Poila Baisakh at 11.30 am. Taking to social media, Imran wrote, “ You are my love is on the way to entertain u guys in most stylish manner xpressing love thru qute dancing,#raavan superstar @jeet30 sir,lovely @lahomabhattacharya.”
