Young Sheldon Season 5
Fans of The Big Bang Theory prequel show, Young Sheldon, will have to wait longer to watch the next episode of Season 5. The series, which tells the early life of the genius physicist Sheldon Cooper, has taken a break again for a couple of weeks. The makers released episode 13, titled 'A Lot of Band-Aids and the Cooper Surrender', last week and several fans were excited to watch it on Amazon Prime Video to find the latest adventure in the Cooper family. Unfortunately, the show will be taking a break from the screens after its month-long break during Christmas in December.
The lengthy hiatus is due to the shuffle in CBS shows' schedules and fans may expect it to return in the last week of February. But CBS, where the show is originally aired before the OTT release, is yet to officially announce the date of when the next episode will be released. The delay again is due to the rescheduling of the sitcoms in the wake of the upcoming Winter Olympics in Beijing, which is set to take place from February 4 to 20. The games cause this massive shift in the scheduling of the biggest American sitcoms during this time every year. Along with Young Sheldon, several other sitcoms by CBS will be taken off the air. However, the network is said to broadcast episodes in repeat during the hiatus and fans in other countries will probably have to quench their thirst for more Cooper adventures by revisiting the show on OTT.
There are reports that suggest that the show will not be back until February 24. However, an official confirmation on the same is awaited. But The Big Bang Theory fans can expect some good news soon.
The coming-of-age comedy Young Sheldon, created by Chuck Lorre and Steven Molaro, is led by Iain Armitage and stars Zoe Perry, Lance Barber, Montana Jordan, Raegan Revord, and Annie Potts, among others. The series is narrated by Jim Parsons who plays the older Sheldon in the original show The Big Bang Theory.
