Marvel Studios is gearing up for a spectacular 2025 with multiple releases under the Marvel Cinematic Universe, following a relatively quiet year in 2024. Alongside its live-action projects, the MCU’s animated division is also making waves. On the day of What If...? Season 3's finale, the studio unveiled the trailer and release date for their highly anticipated animated series, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, set to debut on Disney+ and Disney+ Hotstar in January 2025. Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Trailer Out
One of the most awaited shows in recent memory, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man explores a parallel timeline where Peter Parker, aka Spider-Man, is mentored by Norman Osborn—his archenemy Green Goblin’s alter ego—rather than Tony Stark, as seen in the MCU. The trailer introduces Peter as a typical nerdy teen who springs into action when danger arises. In one scene, he changes into his superhero costume in a restroom before web-slinging to save a woman in peril.
The trailer showcases two distinct Spider-Man suits: a casual teenage Parker outfit and a sleeker, black-and-white costume. Packed with action and drama, the series adds a fresh twist as Spider-Man vlogs his heroic escapades.

About Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man
The cast features Hudson Thames as Spider-Man, Colman Domingo as Norman Osborn, Kari Wahlgren as Aunt May, and Hugh Dancy as Doctor Octopus. Paul F. Tompkins voices The Wizard. Notably, Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio reprise their roles as Daredevil and Kingpin from Netflix's Daredevil series ahead of their return in Daredevil: Born Again in March 2025.
Written by Jeff Trammell and supervised by director Mel Zwyer, the series is executive produced by Brad Winderbaum, Kevin Feige, Louis D'Esposito, Dana Vasquez-Eberhardt, and Trammell. According to the official synopsis, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man chronicles Peter Parker’s unique journey to becoming a hero, celebrating the character’s early comic book roots.
