Your Honor star Jimmy Sheirgill on how he enacts big and small roles with same level of sincerity

With the second season of Your Honor, Jimmy Sheirgill made a comeback as the judge who throws away his morals for protecting his son. The star recently opened up the approach he takes as an actor to roles of different magnitudes, ranging from a lead role to a cameo.

In conversation with IANS, Sheirgill addressed some criticisms he believed were laid upon him which said he was being ‘underutilised’ and should make more on-screen appearances. The actor talked in depth about how he went about choosing a role to do and said that although he valued the story above all else, there had been times when he had accepted a role because of friendships.

While acknowledging the success he had with his leading role on Your Honor, the actor said that in a lot of cases, he had found a supporting character to be more interesting than the hero.

Sheirgill revealed that in several instances, the roles he had said yes to seemed good on paper, but changed when the time came to actually shoot it.

But regardless of what he felt about it, the actor said that he made sure to do every role with the same level of sincerity, even if it was as small as a cameo. He also added that his commitment came from his desire to never disappoint his audiences.
