Youth (2026) box office collection day 1: Ken Karunaas teen drama makes a humble Rs 3.2 crore

Youth, the 2026 Tamil coming-of-age teen drama, written and directed by Ken Karunaas, who also stars in the lead role, has opened at the box office on day one with a little over Rs 3 crore. With no star names associated with the project, the film relies on the positive word of mouth, to tap in the festive weekend ahead.

Youth (2026) box office collection day 1: How much did Ken Karunaas film mint?

In this week’s Tamil releases, coming-of-age drama Youth, is a prominent title hitting theatres. The film marks the directorial debut of Ken Karunaas, who has also written the film and starred in his maiden leading role. Much like the movie’s title, Youth is an entertainer that centres around a 15-year-old boy Praveen as he is in search of his true love.

According to Sacnilk, Youth has minted Rs 3.20 crore on day one at the box office collection. With the film debuting with decent reviews, Youth is expected to make good numbers at the box office in Tamil Nadu, in the coming day, given Eid warrants for extended weekend.

What is Youth about?

Youth is an entertainer and is about Praveen who is studying in his tenth grade. While his mother has high hopes on him and his father does not see any good in him, Praveen has only one motive in life; to find true love. Three girls enter his life, and what happens is the rest of the story of Youth. The film engages in light-hearted school romance tale, with a message in the end. With a mix of fun, drama, and romance, Youth is censored U/A.
