Yuva Rajkumar’s Yuva advance bookings to open on THIS date

Yuva, the much-awaited launchpad of Yuva Rajkumar, the younger son of Raghavendra Rajkumar and the one seen as the worthy successor to the legacy left behind by his uncle, Power Star Puneeth Rajkumar and fill that void, is hitting theatres on March 29. The film directed by Santhosh Ananddram, who has made two hit films with Puneeth for the banner Hombale Films – Raajakumara and Yuvarathnaa – is set to release amid much fanfare. And yet, strangely, advance bookings for the film are yet to open.

The hope was that Hombale Films would open bookings at least partially by March 24 or March 25, but the banner has decided to delay this to as late as March 27. Considering that the production house is also distributing the Malayalam film Aadujeevitham, which will be in theatres on March 28, by the 27th the screen/show distribution of the Prithviraj Sukumaran starrer and Yuva will be more clearly set.

The assumption is that bookings for all screens will open on the 27th for Yuva, by which time it will also be known if the film gets early morning shows (EMS) or not. Santhosh had earlier said that the banner is leaning towards an 8 am start, as against midnight or EMS fans shows, which netizens say should have ideally been the norm, given that it is the launchpad of a member of the Rajkumar family.

Yuva release - Paid premieres, EMS for Yuva Rajkumar’s big debut? 

It was earlier heard that there would be premieres on March 28, but the banner then decided against that too. Yuva Rajkumar may still be a debutant, but there is no denying the fan following he already commands, which should give him a release befitting a star kid. As such, a March 27 start for bookings is quite late for such a film, considering that even Dhoomam, which was not a Kannada original opened bookings with three days to go.
