Zack Snyder: After working with Huma Qureshi, I now want only Indian actors in my films

Many would consider Huma Qureshi to be a fortunate actress to have got a chance to work with one of Hollywood’s best directors, Zack Snyder, for her debut film in the industry. However, Zack believes he is the lucky one to have found a talent like Huma and got her onboard for his film, Army Of The Dead.

Zack in a recent interview with Hindustan Times stressed that he loved her work, but he was unsure whether she would even agree to work with him.

“Huma's character was always intended to be Indian. Huma is a really amazing actress, no two ways about it. I watched some of her material, and I was like, ‘this actress is amazing’,” he said.

He was all praise for the actress. “I didn’t think that she would do the film, but Huma agreed. I was so happy and finally, having her on set, I want only Indian actors in my movies from now on,” said the Man of Steel filmmaker.

Previously, Zack had revealed that Huma would be seen in the role of a mother named Geeta in the zombie-thriller and that her daughter Kate will be played by Ella Purnell.

Huma is a popular face in the OTT world. She had previously appeared on the Netflix show Leila as its female lead. Army of the Dead, starring Dave Bautista in the lead role, is slated to release on Netflix on May 21.
