Inamulhaq, who is coming back on screen after a gap of a few years with the latest film Zara Hatke Zara Bachke shares a few anecdotes about the lead pair of the film, Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan.
The actor made his mark with some memorable performances in films like Filmistaan, Jolly LLB 2, and Airlift, to name a few. His acting as Mohammed Iqbal Quadri in the courtroom scene in the film Jolly LLB 2 became a talking point after the release of the film.
Now that the actor is back with a new film and sharing more details about his character, Inamulhaq said, "Bhagwan Das Sahay is a hilarious but interesting character in Zaraa Hatke Zara Bachke. I have a small but essential character. Yes, I am playing a very different character from my last film."
The actor also explained that one of the reasons he is taking on fewer projects is that he is making a constant effort to avoid getting typecast and grow as an artist.
He mentioned, "To avoid getting typecast is my very tough promise to myself. But I intend to stick to it even though it’s easier on the pocket to get into just one character and repeat it in every film."
In the film Zara Hatke Zara Bacjke, Vicky and Sara play a couple who were in love once and got married, but now they are on the verge of divorce.
Sharing his experience of working with both the actors, he said, "Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan are both very down-to-earth people and are quick learners. They are open to learning from other actors on the set as well. They have no tantrums or hangups on the set, though both of them are celebrated stars of the young generation. It was a very peaceful working environment with both of them."
Adding to the most cherished moment, Inamulhaq said, "The most heartening thing with them is how they both are so respectful towards all, and I reciprocated their respectful behaviour with all my heart."
The film Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, directed by Laxman Utekar and also starring Sushmita Mukherjee, Neeraj Sood, Rakesh Bedi, and Sharib Hashmi, among others, releases in theatres.
