ZEE5's Vikkatakavi gets a special honor; to be screened at THIS prestigious film festival

Vikkatakavi is ZEE5's new series that has become a talking point ever since its trailer came out the other day. Young director Pradeep Maddali has directed this series, which has a story by Teja. The period drama is all set to be available for streaming on November 28, 2024.

The Telugu web series Vikkatakavi gets a special honor

Now, as per the latest news, Vikkatakavi has bagged a rare honor for a web series. The suspense thriller will be screened at the prestigious International Film Festival of India (IFFI), which will take place in Goa. Vikkatakavi will be screened on November 23, 2024, and the entire team will walk the red carpet. This is the first time a Telugu web series has achieved such an honor, and the team is super thrilled.

Vikkatakavi's backdrop and star cast

Vikkatakavi is the first-ever detective web series with a Telangana backdrop. All those who have seen the series have good things to say about the project. Naresh Agastya and Megha Akash play the lead roles in this series, which has music by Ajay Arasada. The production values and camerawork in the series are expected to be highlights, according to the makers.

Speaking about the same, director Pradeep Maddali says he is super thrilled to showcase his series to a wide range of audiences at the festival. Vikkatakavi also features Mukthar Khan in a lead role and revolves around a small village where the people mysteriously start losing their memory. A detective named Vikkatakavi comes into the picture to unravel the mystery.

The trailer has caught the attention of many, and with its screening at IFFI, the OTT release is expected to gain a lot of attention. Apart from Vikkatakavi, a Hindi film titled Dispatch, featuring Manoj Bajpayee, will also be showcased at IFFI. Stay tuned for more updates.
