Zee5 recently dropped the teaser of its new original series Sunflower, starring Sunil Grover, Ranvir Shorey and Ashish Vidyarthi, and produced by Reliance Entertainment and Good Co.

Written by Vikas Bahl, who is co-directing the series with Rahul Sengupta, Sunflower is the tale of a middle class housing society in Mumbai, with eccentric characters. When a murder takes place in the society, a police investigation commences. This begins a rollercoaster ride of uncertainty and secrets.

The protagonist of the series is Sonu, a small-towner who is not aware of the ways of the world. He gets involved in the murder case and every step he take seems to plunge him deeper into his misery.

A sense of foreboding prevails in the teaser, which essentially focuses on the logo of the series and flashes the names of the actors. A sunflower turns into a bee in this teaser.

The plot of the series reveals that the residents of the society are more worried about the reputation of their housing space than the victim who has been murdered. Veteran actor Ashish Vidyarthi will be seen playing the role of Dilip Iyer, the arrogant society secretary.

Touted to be a comedy of errors where the protagonist keeps unknowingly making himself culpable to the murder, Sunflower is a series where the real culprit enjoys the show in the shadows. Sunil Grover will be playing the protagonist Sonu and is sure to leave the audience in splits.

Actors Ranvir Shorey and Girish Kulkari will be seen as police officers responsible for the investigation in the show. Sunflower will be released on Zee5 soon.
