Zeenat Aman celebrates the first anniversary of her Instagram debut with a suave photoshoot and a tribute to her ‘transformative year’

Today marks the one-year anniversary of Zeenat Aman’s social media debut on Instagram. The yesteryear star took to her Instagram to commemorate the occasion with a special post and photoshoot. The actress had an improvised photoshoot in her garden with her photographer Tanya Agarwall yesterday, did hair and makeup by herself, and chose the clothes from her closet.

Zeenat Aman donned a black top, layered with a swoon worthy black and golden shrug. The veteran actress enhanced the suave, vintage look with minimal, chic, golden jewelry and a middle-parted, sleek hairdo. A modern, avant-garde sunglass completed the look, which had been complimented by minimal makeup and dewy pink lips.

Zeenat Aman’s reflection on transformations opened with her busting a popular social myth with her own experience. Though people assume that “transformative experiences” are a right exclusive to the young, the actress’ experience tells her otherwise. She made an example out of her own situation.

A year ago, her kids had coaxed and cajoled her into uploading her first Instagram post. Though the first step had forced her to face her deep-seated fears of tech and her reservations regarding privacy, Zeenat Aman admitted that it “gifted” her a “transformative year”. It made her realize that it is possible to be true to yourself in public without losing anything.

And it was all made possible without any agents, managers, or bought followers, only her amateur social media self and her kids “winging it!” Zeenat Aman had to praise her kids for the way they are and declared that if any netizen wonders how the septuagenarian actress navigates Instagram or knows the latest lingo, it's all thanks to her “little band of millennials.”

Aman also credited her team, who make the photoshoots usually possible for her social media and personal updates. The actress neared the end of her post by offering some food for thought. She explained that transformations demand us to embrace the unknown. She also reminded us that there is no age limit to when one can transform their life.
