Levinson confirmed a major season event: "Cassie and Nate do in fact get married. I’m confirming it. And I promise that it will be an unforgettable night." Cassie is characterised as "very addicted to social media and envious of what appear to be the big lives that all of her high school classmates are living."

Jules Vaughn's career anxieties

Art school student Jules Vaughn (Hunter Schafer), who has been on and off with Rue, is "very nervous about having a career as a painter and trying to avoid responsibility at all costs."

Played by Alexa Demie, Maddy Perez is presently juggling her "own side hustles" with her job as a talent agent for a manager in Hollywood.

Lexi Howard's new role and star cameo

The ambitious playwright, portrayed by Maude Apatow, is now working as an assistant to a showrunner, played by true icon Sharon Stone, a new cast member.
