Zwigato trailer: Kapil Sharma and Shahana Goswami face cruel reality of middle-class life in Nandita Das-directed film

Zwigato is an upcoming slice-of-life film starring Kapil Sharma and Shahana Goswami. Makers have dropped the official trailer of the movie, which is directed by Nandita Das. The latest official video sees the comedian-actor playing the character of a food delivery person, who comes from a lower middle-class family and deals with a lot of challenges in his day-to-day life.

The trailer begins with showcasing Kapil as a food delivery person, whose daughter informs her that he can make extra money just by taking a selfie with the people he delivers to every day. He doesn't like the idea at first and says why would I click a selfie with them if I don't know them.

The montage further sees a quirky banter between him and his son. He says he will complete 10 deliveries today, while his son replies that every day he says something, to which the actor mocks his shoes and tells him to polish them.

Moving on, he can be seen delivering food packages throughout the day. He also asks a couple out of all the customers if he takes a selfie with them, to which they politely say yes and take a picture with their food delivery guy.

After that, he can be seen delivering food with his son, during which the latter asks him about an item in the list of deliveries as he gets confused if it's a fruit or a vegetable. This shows that the Nandita Das directorial does not only showcase the story of the hardship of a lower-middle-class man but also subtly compares the world which is economically completely different from each other.

The trailer also showcases what Shahana as the wife of a middle-class food delivery man goes through and does to support her husband running the family.

Written by Nandita Das and Samir Patil, the forthcoming drama flick is produced by Sameer Nair, Deepak Segal and Nandita Das under Applause Entertainment.

Zwigato, which also has Swanand Kirkire, Gul Panag and Sayani Gupta, is slated to release on March 17.
