Rithvika (Eesha Rebba), Meghana (Raashi Singh), and Srushti (Kushitha) live together in Mumbai. Meghana, who has divorced her husband, is careful not to reveal this to her family. Srushti is keen on dating and keeps trying to meet new people. Meanwhile, all three work extremely hard on a project for their newly launched ad agency. During this time, Prasad (Harsha Chemudu), who was known to Rithvika from season 1, comes forward to offer them a gold jewellery project. How do the three women overcome these challenges? And what is the truth they eventually discover about Prasad? These questions form the core storyline of the web series, which can be streamed here on OTTplay Premium.
After the super success of 3 Roses, the makers took a 5-year break and are back with Season 2. This time, the cast has changed. Kushitha Kallapu and Raashi Singh join Eesha Rebba in the new season and impress for the most part. Directed by Kiran Karavvali, the series is backed by the makers of Baby, and created by director Maruthi.
While Season 1 was set in Hyderabad, the new season is set in Mumbai, where the scope for boldness is greater, as the universe is more mature and competitive. The three leads work at an ad agency and lead carefree lives. The manner in which each of their stories is introduced in the first episode is handled well.
3 Roses Season 2 is filled with comedy, with star comedian Satya evoking good fun. The way his character brings life into the series is quite effective. The makers have designed the series in such a way that the sensibilities feel more like a film than a web show. The dark comedy is handled well, and things do not cross the line, which is one of the show’s strengths.

That said, the story is simple and does not offer anything new. It is quite predictable, as one can easily guess where the narrative is headed. A particular party scene in the series is hilarious, and the comedy generated through this episode works well. A twist that comes during this episode has been nicely thought out by the director.
3 Roses Season 2 is made with a single idea: comedy. The makers have added characters, humour, and fun just to keep things light. The emotions behind the personal issues of the three female leads are justified by the end. However, a few scenes go a bit overboard and derail the flow, especially in the third episode.
Viva Harsha gets a good role, and the way his story connects across Seasons 1 and 2 looks neat. Coming to the performances, Eesha Rebba is a seasoned actress and holds attention till the end. The way she evokes situational comedy and portrays angst in certain scenes is commendable.

Kushitha Kallapu is neat in her role and provides the required glamour. Raashi Singh’s role is well-designed and relatable to many girls. Satya makes his presence felt through his body language, while Viva Harsha continues to improve with every project. Prabhas Sreenu is also good in his role, as are the other supporting actors.
The production values are top-notch. The feel-good nature of the show makes the difference. There is not much vulgarity in the dialogues, as they are planned keeping the youth in mind.

Director Kiran narrates the story in a simple manner. One does feel that the three female leads could have been given stronger arcs, but by the end, it becomes clear why the characters of Meghana and Reetu behave in a certain way in a few scenes. While many series focus heavily on emotional character journeys, Season 2 is made purely for entertainment, and the makers have paused the story at a point where there is more confusion, as the rest of the episodes will be out soon.
Overall, 3 Roses Season 2 is a simple yet fun series aimed purely at entertainment. It has colourful characters, dark comedy, missing logic, and a predictable narrative. However, it still manages to evoke decent fun despite its limitations. Those who enjoy youthful comedies with a bold approach will end up liking Season 2. Stream it here on OTTplay Premium.
