Story: Mikel Arteta and his young Arsenal side are fighting for a spot in the top 4 but face a big hurdle as club captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang leaves the club.

Review: All or Nothing: Arsenal was a series that football fans were eagerly waiting for, as Arsenal had a mixed bag of a season with ups and downs. While the series captures exactly how the club works from the inside, it also focuses a lot on club manager Mikel Arteta. While the first three episodes of the series did not really give us face to face interviews with the senior players at the club, the latest episodes takes us straight to Granit Xhaka and Alexandre Lacazette.

Fans know Granit Xhaka to be a hothead and this is a title he has earned for himself, as he has gotten sent off on five different occasions for Arsenal. While known for being a bit of a careless loose cannon on the pitch, the makers take us into his home. It is very refreshing to see him spend time with his wife and two young girls and when he says, “footballers are also humans,” we as viewers are well and truly reminded of this fact even before he has to use words to say it. Lacazette on the other hand, did not have the best season in front of goal for the gunners and we get to see how he tries to get past this issue and how the coaching staff are trying to help him as well.

Ben White, who was signed last season, also gets some one-on-one time in the latest episodes. The center back can be seen talking about himself and how he has made it to the club with great passion. We are also taken into Arteta’s home, where we see his wife and children. The manager is a family guy who gets swamped by work even at his home, but still manages to find time for his family and also to kick the ball around with his kids.

While there is no real change in these latest episodes from the first three episodes, there is definitely more drama, thanks to club captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Football fans were surprised when the club took disciplinary actions against Aubameyang after he turned up late to training. He was also then stripped of the captaincy and the series shows us just how much all this affected Arteta. While it was a managerial decision, fans and even some members of the board were not completely on board with the decision. We also get to see insights into his deadline day transfer to F.C. Barcelona and just how shocked the main members of the board were to learn that he had travelled to Spain without their permission ahead of the deal.

Not much has changed in terms of storytelling, but viewers can feel how the pressure has increased around the club as the season edges to an end. Football fans know exactly how Arsenal’s season ended and how they bottled their chances of a top 4 finish and this is exactly what could make the final few episodes of the series extremely engaging. But for now, we will have to wait and see how the show wraps up.

Verdict: Episodes 4, 5 and 6 of All or Nothing: Arsenal follows the same formula as the opening three episodes, but there is definitely more drama in this thanks to how Aubameyang left the club.
