Story:
Andor is back for Maarva’s funeral. The Empire is waiting to strike back. Can he dodge them and leave?
Review:
Andor episode 12 is all about the tech and visuals. It is a flashback into Rogue One. The stormtroopers are here.
Denise Gough as Deedra Meero is way too much into her role this time. This is the sternest you would see her.
India origin Varada Sethu in the role of Cinta is a delight to watch once again. Her taking on The Empire, one step at a time, is one of the best things to happen to the series.
Faye Marsay is back in her role as a rebel. She fits into the role in a way that she almost never left it.
Cinta and Vel are back as a team. They are a glimpse from the previous times and it's beautiful.
Genevieve O’Reilly’s Senator Mon has a charm to herself once again. She has a character growth in this episode itself.
Diego Luna makes his entry a little later but is so worth it. He is back with his tech. As Andor, him in action is everything.
Adria Arjona in the role of Bix has a brief appearance and she is completely different from what she has been seen as so far. Despite everything, she is good to watch.
Stellan Skasgard is finally back in action and he is so worth it. In the role of Luthen, he is as powerful as his entry on the show.
Kyle Soller's Syril has a different shade this time. He is between his past and current life, making his graph interesting enough.
The anxiety grows with every passing moment in this episode. Every single person associated with the show is in search of Andor and not for any good reason. Can he dodge them all?
The visuals and cinematography play an important role this time. Right from the first frame to the last, this is one aspect that never falters.
Bee is here in this episode too. He does nothing special but given his role, it's special.
How the rebellion commences, is interesting but expected. That can actually be said for most of the parts of this episode.
And just like that, this show comes to an end. A good end, indeed.
Verdict:
The episode is a good watch. It is not as intriguing and amazing as one would expect but does the job. The show is high on visuals, which makes you believe it is the spin-off of Rogue One.
