Story:
Kishan (RJ Harshil) falls in love with Payal (Alisha Prajapati) while they both visit a tea shop and have the same type of tea - cutting. However, will she ever reciprocate the feelings?
Review:
Tea connects people all over the world, so how could matters of the heart stay behind? Bas Cha Sudhi (Only till tea-time) sees two people (Kishan and Payal) bond over tea.
RJ Harshil as Kishan tries his charm in the first few minutes of Bas Cha Sudhi Navi Safar but it seems unnatural for some reason. Even when trying to be romantic, he ends up looking like a creep and this is just a few minutes into the series. He gets better as the series progresses though. The camera angles help his character to a great extent.
As the series progresses, it focuses on his true intention over creepy behaviour. The focus is not on his fingers that circle the cutting chai but his face that is smiling while remembering a good memory.
Alisha Prajapati as Payal looks adorable and is quite his contrast. She is a strong character you will instantly love. As the series goes forward, she simply becomes sweeter.
The love story is too adorable. Payal and Kishan take it slow and you get to see their strong friendship/relationship develop bit-by-bit, episode-by-episode. The la la la just to show that Payal is in love, though, is a bit too much. The music, nonetheless, works well for the series.
Kishan goes through a phase that everyone can relate to. While as a viewer you still try to understand where Payal and Kishan will go from here, the makers announce the second season of the show.
Verdict:
Bas Cha Sudhi is a much-loved franchise. Navi Safar mostly banks on the franchise but is cute in itself nonetheless. It is a good watch for sure.
