Broken But Beautiful, which originally starred Vikrant Massey and Harleen Sethi in the lead roles is back with its much anticipated season 3. This time, the show, Broken But Beautiful 3, is about Agasthya (Sidharth Shukla) and Rumi (Sonia Rathee).

If you haven't guessed it yet, the name Rumi has a lot to do with some of the popular sayings by the famous Persian poet and mystic of the same name. In the series, Rumi goes through the stages of love, obsession and heartbreak at regular intervals and so does Agastya.

Rumi depicts a modern woman who is constantly in a dilemma. Compared to her, Agastya is a level-headed man who knows what he wants from life and isn't afraid to take it.

Since both Agastya and Rumi are lonely beings who are passionate in their own ways, sparks fly when the two meet. Their chemistry is the best part of the show.

Particularly, Sidharth, who also makes his digital debut with Broken But Beautiful 3, does full justice to his role. Playing a man who loves intensely, and wears his heart on his sleeve only for the love of his life, the actor has a lot of scope to deliver and he doesn't disappoint.

Although the lead actors are good in their roles, the supporting actors, except Taniya Kalra, who plays the role of Agastya's manager Farha on the show, are not as impressive. Like Agastya, Farha is someone who doesn't let everyone in her life, but when she does, she protects them till the end.

Lines like "Naam bante hai risk se, ch****e bante hai ishq se," keep the atmosphere of the show light. Broken But Beautiful fans would already be used to such punchlines, and the third season offers many more of them.

The series has background music in almost every scene, but this music does not disturb the scene to the extent that the focus is lost, and thus, it can be ignored. What cannot be ignored is the bad editing. Certain portions seemed stretched and could have been done without.

The show also has a special appearance of Veer (Vikrant) and Sameera (Harleen), which is something which will surely bring a smile to your face, especially if you’ve been a fan of the first two seasons.

However, most importantly, it is the message in Broken But Beautiful 3 that is set to win hearts. The current season does not follow a conventional love story but preaches the purest form of love.

Broken But Beautiful 3 is beautiful in ways you wouldn’t imagine. The series is a must-watch.
