What's it about:

Chaskela (crazy) is a story about six friends who meet each other after years, at the comfort of a friend's home. What transpires next is beautiful, heart-warming and hopeful.

What's hot:

Chaskela is a light-hearted drama that works well for the series. There is a comic relief in every episode, thus promising you some laughter, if not a lot.

The series will also take you on a nostalgic trip since you will easily find some qualities and moments spent with your friends, in the form of these six friends who have stark opposite personalities from one another.

Shivam Parekh is adorable as the still-in-love Saurabh. His wife Charmi, played by Sharvary Joshi, plays her part beautifully too but Sanjay Galsar, who is seen in the role of Mihir, deserves a special mention. His words and actions in the show will touch your heart.

Deeksha Joshi, who is seen in the role of Radhika and Raunaq Kamdar as Brijesh stand out. They have an air of mystery around themselves. While she detests men for some reason, he rarely respects women. Their chemistry also shines and is expected to be explored further in the second season of the show.

Very few series or movies can work well if shot in a single place. Chaskela is one such rare show that actually does work beautifully. Despite being shot in one house (for the most bits) it explores every nook and corner of the place, thus giving the viewers something new every time.

What's not:

The fact that the series ends abruptly. An unwanted character named Anuja enters the lives of these six friends and is adamant to break them by taking a drastic step. Although we understand that there will be a second season, there could have been a better way to end the first season.

Verdict:

Go grab some popcorn and drinks and enjoy Chaskela to the core this weekend.
