The episode wasted 39 minutes on a fresh character arc that wasn't developed into anything interesting.

After the bombshell of Abby's true identity is revealed, we find out about Mason, Nadia, and Celeste's past relationships and a terrible choice that has lasting consequences. Nadia and Kyle have landed in Morocco, where they will risk their lives to release their fellow spies from the Manticore compound. However, their time as heroes is cut short when they are hit with a potentially fatal accusation.
By the end of the third episode, it's established that, quoting the "great" Akshay Kumar from Ajnabee, "Everything is planned." On one side, Abby (Ashleigh Cummings) is shown as Kyle Conroy's (Richard Madden) wife, and on the other hand, Bernard Orlick (Stanley Tucci) tells Silje (Roland Møller) that his "lover" Celeste (Cummings) is alive. What sorcery is this?
Every episode ends on a cliffhanger after banging empty vessels with heavy espionage language and high-octane action sequences for half an hour or so. The latest episode, which is titled "Tell Her Everything," is about Cummings and her backstory. She is not just zeroed in as Madden's onscreen wife; there's more to her than meets the eye. It's revealed that Abby is welcomed to the world of Citadel by Nadia (Priyanka Chopra Jonas) to become a spy and cash out details from Anders (Møller).
All this takes us back to a decade wherein Nadia and Mason were the killer Citadel spies and also lovers who couldn't keep their hands off each other. All we hear is that Priyanka is getting into seductive mode with her heavy waves down, and while being a spy, the space buns come back neatly tied.
Until now, as we are approaching the end of the series, it has become quite clear why the series has turned out to be episodic. Well, it keeps you hooked on the seeker to know how much time is left for the episode to end. It's still not established what they're conveying in terms of storytelling; basically, what's the story about? We see spies getting their memories erased from time to time like it's child's play, and then it's shown that Mole is still running among their "most trusted" team.
Well, the questioning and counter-questioning continue even in this episode between Nadia and Mason, but we are still left with no answers as to why one should keep going with Citadel.
Meanwhile, did Madden already predict that this is no Game of Thrones that people will keep glued to the screens? Well, his performance seems like it.
Citadel is reaching its penultimate episode, but the wait is still long to know what this most expensive show is about because the unique thing about it is that there's nothing unique about it.
A sheer waste of 39 minutes by bringing in a new character arc but not making it carry the show forward.
