Bhuvan deserves the credit not just as an actor and director but also as a writer for bringing such an element to his rather complete web series.

Story:

Bhuvan's father Babloo ji is stressed out at his job. He tries his luck at lottery and believes he has won the lottery. Has he, though? Can Babloo ji and his wife Janki keep mum about the lottery? What will happen if he actually did not win the lottery?

Review:

What is a common man? Someone who dreams to become a little rich, if not Ambani. He is also someone who hopes he doesn't have to beg on the streets after losing his job. Bhuvan Bam's Dhindora has covered both the factors rather beautifully.

Staying loyal to his fans who loved his characters of Bhuvan, Bancho, Babli sir, Janki (Mummy), Babloo ji (Papa), Sameer Fuddi, Titu Mama, Papa Maakichu, Hola and Detective Mangloo, BB released the series on his channel BB Ki Vines with the characters and their flavours intact. In a simple and soft manner, he got his message across. Sometimes, the messages were not only loud and clear but also hard-hitting. For that same reason, Bhuvan even brought Crime Patrol host Anuup Sonii on board.

From sending out a message about how literally nobody steps forward in times of need in today's day and age to covering about deceit because of a bigger truth, Bhuvan has explored every emergency situation a common man fears in his life. Sometimes he stood back and took the limelight and the other times, Bhuvan completely stood out. Him standing up for his father is one of the best moments from the show.

The series has introduced Gayatri Bhardwaj too. It is her first break after working on a music video with Sahil Anand. The music video was named Patola. Bhuvan found the actress and brought her on his show, which also involves the current topics like Bigg Boss, Priyanka Chopra-Nick Jonas etc. That is another factor that Bhuvan kept in mind - about how the common people give examples of shows and celebrities during their normal conversations.

Ankur Pathak, Arun Kushwah, Rajesh Tailang, Ishtiyak Khan and Badri Chavan as begger-lottery boy, telemarketing baba, society head, boss and rickshaw guy have a whole new look to them. It is nearly impossible to recognize them with their getup. This holds especially true for Ishtiyak as the boss. He is not only a unique character but also has an out-of-the-box setup.

The whole show is shot in the lanes of Mumbai and Delhi. Based in Delhi, Dhindora captures the emotion of the street and also, how the various characters, especially Bhuvan, goes through a lot of emotions on the streets. From stress to tension, happiness, heartbreak and even fear, every single emotion happens on the streets, as he travels in an auto or simply gazes across the street. A common man, too, has a lot of emotions that he carries from one place to another in an auto or while munching with his friends on the streets.

Bhuvan also deserves full points for leaving the first season of Dhindora on a high cliffhanger. Just when people started taking a deep breath and smiling for his family, trouble came knocking down his doors, quite literally. Bhuvan deserves the credit not just as an actor and director but also as a writer for bringing such an element to his rather complete web series.

Verdict:

If you don't want OTT masala entertainer and still, want to experience various emotions with every episode, Dhindora is your pick for the week. Sit back and have fun laughing, staying tensed and shedding a tear or two for Bhuvan Bam's Dhindora, available on his YouTube channel, BB ki Vines.
