Sanjay Goradia's character, Pappu, is a Gujarati businessman who has a colorful family. Goti Soda explores the madness in his day-to-day life as he deals with his crazy family and friend, Manya (Chetan Daiya).
Goti Soda is a family entertainer who makes you smile, if not laugh. It is not perfect or completely novel, but still an honest attempt at something, and thus, it becomes a one-time watch.
The show begins on a fun note, and you get to understand why the title of the series is so weird. Sanjay Goradia is known for his acting skills, and this series is no less. Each character is funny and full of colour. These interesting characters fit in perfectly with the situations, making Goti Soda a fun watch.
Chetan Daiya, aka Pappu's (Sanjay) BFF Manya, makes an impression as soon as he enters the show and house. The blunt honesty helps the show immensely. You are sure to get some giggles thanks to how this series, especially the family drama, progresses. The chaos ensuing at the party, especially, is a worthy watch.
Each family member blurts out something no matter the time and situation. This makes the scenes hilarious. At the same time, how Pappu stands up for his wife, even when he is scared of the situation, is heartwarming.
The women in this series are also not given as powerful a role. While most of them are funny, one is just for glamor purposes. Many women preach in the series, but nobody has a substantial role, obviously not as substantial as Pappu or Manya, which is a disappointment.
Goti Soda is a light-hearted family entertainer that has too many funny moments. The series is neither revolutionary nor completely original, but it still manages to make you laugh. Thus, you can watch this series if you just want to let out a smile after a long day at work.
