Story:

Moritz Zimmerman (Maximilian Mundt), who has been a loser 'nerd' all his life, becomes a drug lord through his website My Drugs. Season 2 ended with him being arrested and asking people not to do drugs. Meanwhile, his friends Lenny, Dan and Kira (Lenny's girlfriend)'s lives are in danger ever since Mo a.k.a Moritz got involved with 'The Dutch', a ruthless gang of businesswomen who don't think twice before killing their employees.

Review:

Moritz is back and he is as much a loser as before, if not more. Like me, if you are wondering how the hell did Mo come back from prison, there's a surprise for you. It isn't such a great surprise though, for he looks nothing less than pretentious in the scene overall. The last part of the scene, which also marks the climax of the show, however, leaves quite an impact.

Mo pretty much puts 'Haar Kar Jeetne Wale Ko Baazigar Kehte Hai' in his business. Despite being a loser, he has the killer instinct, which made him likeable as a character since season 1.

In the first two seasons, it was clear that Mo has a strict policy against consuming the drugs he sells. In the third season though, you get to see a Mo who is too high to understand or process anything around him. This happens in a crucial scene where 'The Dutch try to kill him and his gang. The scene is one of the high points of the show - it makes you laugh and keeps you scared, simultaneously.

The show constantly refers to Steve Jobs and Tim Cook (both CEOs at Apple at different points of time), as if paying homage to them. If the loud hint wasn't enough, Mo's character says a dialogue that holds true for most revered CEOs. That dialogue is, "Successful people remain unpopular nerds." It comes at the right time and makes you think how true the words are.

While Mo grows as a person, he also grows with the people around him. Childhood BFFs Lenny (Danilo Kamber) and Moritz, who were going through a rough patch, see an evolution in their relationship. Dan (Damian Hardung), as usual, is a beauty with brains. He saves the day and surprisingly, is among one of the most mature characters in the group this time around.

This time around Fritzi (Leonie Wesselow), who was seen as Lisa's friend at one point and is currently Dan's casual friend, has a very powerful role. She has a meaty part, as good as the central character Moritz. While she could bring a lot more to the table, Fritzi does a fairly good job even now.

Mo and Lisa (Lena Klenke) have a beautiful end to their story too, the one you didn't see coming. No, it is not a happy ending in a wedding but something that could be counted as the second-best way for them to be.

There is a 360-degree turn in everybody's lives involved with Mo. The series gives what could essentially be tagged as a 'happy ending' for everybody, which, while isn't too disappointing but not that appealing either.

Verdict:

While there is a lot of action and comedy in How To Sell Drugs Online (Fast) season 3, it isn't as accomplished as compared to the other seasons. The core essence of the show was its language in the past - Germany. This time, Mo is forced to talk in English, which looks unnatural and dilutes the mood of the show more than once.

Otherwise, the series is watchable. However, it is not something you will want to go back and rewatch, especially after a power-packed season 1 and 2.
