Story:

Indu, played by Ishaa Saha, gets married after facing a lot of difficulties. However, the family she has moved in with, are hiding something that she first tries to understand and later, goes on a mission to dig out.

Review:

Indu is among those Bengali web series that take its own time to develop but leave a mark once the setup is clear. The series, in a similar manner, keeps your mind working and then, piques your interest.

The web series begins in a monochrome colour and Indu looking devastated over something. Of course, this hints that the series will work in flashback. Thus, the drama and tragedy begins.

Ishaa manages to leave a fair first impression. Some time into the show, a mystery unfolds.

Suhotra Mukhopadhyay lights up the screen every time he comes. On the other hand, Chandraniv Mukhopadhyay brings in a shy and mysterious presence to him.

Payal De comes as a big surprise in the series. Her role itself is so powerful that all she needs to do is act.

Something's fishy in the series, quite literally. It, however, lacks the special element. After bringing forth a high moment, the show leaves it there and focuses on the drama instead.

Ishaa, who plays the role of Indu, deserves a special mention, for she is a surprise package you want to see more of. She keeps the series going.

Ishaa's moments with Suhotra are brilliant. They share a spark unlike any other characters and not in the sexual sense.

The mystery around Labani's character keeps developing but she isn't particularly introduced till the very end. Thus, she remains a big surprise till the very last moment. As her story unfolds, you get to know the hidden, deep secrets of the house.

The last episode has a befitting ending. Bengal is know for its beautiful music and you get to see that play a pivotal role in the episode. With that, the series ends on a hopeful note and hints at a new season unravelling the mystery.

Verdict:

Indu is not your regular damsel-in-distress story. While it begins like that, the story unfolds beautifully. By the end of it all, Ishaa Saha, who plays the role of Indu, becomes quite the attraction, right after Suhotra Mukhopadhyay's .
